This ministry's desire is to train others to be about reaching the culture with the gospel and if necessary use apologetics to demonstrate the truthfulness of the Christian faith. We are about equipping Christians to think about why our faith is true and to engage the happy cultured pagan to believe the truth of the gospel and trust Christ alone for one's salvation.
But in our culture that is steeped in materialism, narcissism, hedonism and all kinds of skepticism, how are we do to this? What does ministry look like to fulfill this task?
It is called conversational evangelism and apologetics. People have good questions, and sometimes those question have underlying questions attached to their primary question that might hinder a direct answer. Ravi Zacharias has said, that "the questions have not changed, but rather it is how those questions are articulated and how our answers come across in the culture." This is what evangelism looks like in our anti-Christian culture.
That's right, America is now an "anti-Christian" culture with all the changing ideologies, and moral issues challenging the Christian faith as a relevant worldview in the public square today. I am thoroughly convinced that once it is understood why Christianity is true, the follower of Christ will be ready to share with anybody credible answers to the questions objecting to the Christian faith.
This is a practical way of describing what is continually being misunderstood about the meaning of apologetics. When people see you and I living out our Christian faith, in a culture that is becoming more and more adverse to the Christian faith, those who see you will ask questions. I will guarantee it. This is where living the apologetic life fleshes itself out. What is living the apologetic life?
The Apostle Peter encourages all believers to give a reasonable defense in 1 Peter 3:15-17. This is what we call "living the apologetic life" where we are ready to give reasons and give explanations of the outworking toward the hard and soft questions.
I hope this site will provide you with encouragement, answers, and resources, and hopefully a chance for us to visit in aiding you in your discipleship. My goal is to speak into life's most curious questions and show you how to do the same through the spiritual discipline of Christian apologetics, reinforcing your toolbox for evangelism.
